Joe Ciaglia

Currently on the board of the Thoroughbred Owners of California, Joe Ciaglia has a passion for the thoroughbred racing industry that has resulted in great success. Joe claimed his first horse at Del Mar in 1999, began breeding thoroughbreds in 2004, and started buying from public sales and auctions in 2009. He has been fortunate enough to campaign several Grade 1 winners such as Weemissfrankie, Dance With Fate, and champion Champagne Room. His homebred highlight came in 2015 when the mare Ashley’s Folly, dam of multiple Grade 2 winning homebred Ashleyluvssugar, earned California-bred Broodmare of the Year honors.
